Join the SEALA 13 Facilitator Corps

Facilitating SEALA is both a privilege and a responsibility. As a member of the SEALA Facilitator Corps, you will help create a transformative learning experience for leaders and changemakers while continuing your own growth as a facilitator and lifelong learner.

We invite experienced members of the SEALA, CELA, MELA and SIBF networks to apply to join the SEALA 13 Facilitator Corps for the Leadership Academy taking place at the Hilton Bali Resort, Nusa Dua, Indonesia, from 14 to 23 January 2027. Facilitators are required to arrive in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia on the morning of 11 January 2027 and may plan departures on 24 January 2027.

What to Expect

As part of the Facilitator Corps, your participation begins before the Academy itself.

All Facilitators are required to attend the mandatory Facilitators Academy, beginning with dinner on 11 January 2027, followed by two full preparation days on 12 and 13 January 2027.

In the months leading up to the Academy, facilitators will participate in scheduled virtual Facilitator Corps meetings. These sessions provide an opportunity to build stronger bonds for co-facilitators, to become familiar with the program and prepare together for the Academy experience; to ensure success of the Learning Groups and the SEALA 13 Academy.

Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: 18 July 2026

  • Facilitator Academy: 11 - 13 January 2027

  • SEALA 13 Leadership Academy: 14 - 23 January 2027

  • Arrival: 11 January 2027 (by afternoon)

  • Departure: 24 January 2027*

*Facilitators staying on for the SEALA Bali Reunion may depart later.

Costs and Support

  • SEALA will provide accommodation, meals, local transportation, academy materials.

  • Facilitators are responsible for international travel, travel insurance, visa costs (where applicable) and any personal expenses.

Eligibility - Applicants should meet the following criteria.

1. Be fluent in English.

2. Have been a member of one of the affiliated leadership networks for at least two years following graduation from their academy.

3. Have a strong professional background. Previous facilitation experience is helpful, but real-world experience leading people is paramount.

4. Be willing to commit fully to an intensive program that includes long days, plenary sessions, Learning Group sessions and Facilitator Corps meetings.

5. Be able to volunteer their time and cover the cost of travel to and from Bali.

6. Read carefully “The Foundation for Facilitation” before submitting an application to ensure that you qualify for facilitation.

Selection Process

1. Complete the application form below and click SUBMIT.

2. Applications close on Saturday, 18 July 2026.

3. The SEALA Facilitator Selection Committee will review all applications.

4. Selection will consider a balance of experience, diversity of geography, gender balance and other factors.

5. Applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision by email.
